Finning launch ‘Rebuilt and Ready to Go’ offering
Finning UK & Ireland has officially launched its ‘Rebuilt and Ready to Go’ programme, giving customers immediate access to Cat® machines that have been fully rebuilt to deliver like-new performance, but at a lower cost, with sustainability benefits.
The programme is a response to growing industry demand for flexible, lower-cost ownership options that don’t compromise on uptime, safety or performance. Finning identifies suitable machines from its own used stock, rebuilds them to like-new condition, and makes them available to buy with warranty cover, finance options and ongoing support.
Unlike traditional rebuilds, which require customers to take their machine out of service for a period of time, ‘Rebuilt and Ready to Go’ machines are available immediately. Each unit undergoes a full Cat Certified Rebuild process, including rebuilding the powertrain and hydraulics, new undercarriage or tyres, cab upgrades, repainting, updated decals, full welding and bodywork where required, and installation of new ground engaging tools. Machines also come with a five-year warranty and a Customer Value Agreement (CVA).
Initial target models include the Cat 775G off-highway truck, D8T and D6T dozers, and 966M, 972M and XE variants of Cat wheel loaders. These were selected based on their rebuild suitability, popularity across key sectors, and strong total cost of ownership.
Adam Smith, Head of Used Equipment at Finning UK & Ireland said: “Our new ‘Rebuilt and Ready to Go’ offering gives our customers another high-quality option when considering how to manage their fleets. It sits above certified used in terms of spec, but below new in terms of cost. These machines are rebuilt from the ground up, including everything from powertrain, hydraulics, cab, undercarriage, even down to the welding and paintwork. For customers who need something reliable, available now, and backed by a five-year warranty, it's an ideal choice.”
The machines are proving popular in the quarrying and aggregates sectors, as well as waste and recycling, where minimising cost per tonne is critical. One customer who recently adopted the solution for two Cat 775 trucks was able to buy the machines at a significantly lower cost than buying new. They were able to make sustainability savings of over 60 tons of steel, or around 100 tons of CO2 emissions.
