Finning lines up latest Cat® technology for Hillhead
Finning is set to bring the latest in construction technology to Hillhead following an exclusive technology preview at Caterpillar’s Malaga Demonstration & Learning Centre.
The three-day preview was attended by delegates from Finning UK & Ireland and focused on how technology can help business owners to tackle the industry's toughest challenges, including the skills shortage, productivity, safety, efficiency and operational bottlenecks.
Over the course of the Malaga showcase, experts from Caterpillar led five immersive workshops that included keynotes sessions, live machine demonstrations and the chance to get hands on with the latest machines and technology.
As part of these sessions, Caterpillar showcased its Cat command technology which provides full machine manoeuvrability from a safe distance when working in hazardous environments, removing operators from potential dangers and increasing safety on site.
To further support on-site safety, Caterpillar demonstrated the latest updates to its VisionLinkTM telematics platform which gives users real-time data around machine location, fuel usage, and utilisation, as well as the ability to monitor operational efficiency.
To help customers continue to streamline their operations, Finning will be bringing this technology to Hillhead 2026. The Finning team will be on hand to offer an insight into the critical factors shaping the future of the quarrying and construction industries, and the advanced applications on offer to help them work smarter.
During Hillhead, Finning will not only be showcasing the latest technology on offer from Caterpillar, but will be available to discuss integrated support packages, including the deployment of digital technology features, data analysis and on-site training to help customers address challenges on site.
