Hamstead enjoy the Chase
Midlands plant hire specialists Chase Plant Hire have doubled their fleet of Sunward machines.
The Walsall-based company, which is celebrating 35 years in business, and has two depots - in Bloxwich, Walsall, and in Burntwood, Staffordshire – had already purchased nine Sunward skid steers from Sunward dealer Hamstead Plant. These are hired out for work on farm yards, concrete yards and for precious metal reclamation.
It has now enhanced the skid steers with a total of nine Sunward mini-excavators – six SWE 18UF four-pole canopy minis, two SWE 35UFs (Sunward’s largest mini-excavator) and a SWE 25F - also from Hamstead Plant, who stock the full range of Sunward excavators, from 0.8 to 35 tonnes.
It was the Sunward skid steers’ performance that convinced Chase Plant Hire to branch out into Sunward excavators.
Chase manager Ritchard Jukes said: “Their resilience in some of the harshest working environments really made us consider further Sunward machines such as the excavators.
“Sunward are a breath of fresh air. They’re actually happy to deal with us, and provide good service and reliable machines at a fair price.”
Chase Plant Hire mainly specialises in the hire of mini diggers ranging from 0.8 to 10 tonnes but also stocks a wide range of dumpers varying from 0.5 to nine tonnes, the vast majority of which are road legal and fitted with green seat belt beacons. The company also stocks rollers which are also fitted with green seat belt beacons.
Ritchard added: “We bought the latest Sunward machines due to the excellent back-up and service from their dealer Hamstead Plant, and the simple fact that we are getting very decent machines with all the bells and whistles on for a fair price.
“Sunward seem to have their act together, unlike some! And dealing with Joe Bayton, the managing director at Hamstead Plant, is great. He always answers the phone, always has a solution, and never says no.”
Joe said: “We are delighted that Chase Plant Hire has extended its Sunward fleet and are confident the excavators will be as successful as the skid steers for their business.
