Happy Birthday Digger “Man” Blog

When the then online editor of Contract Journal Will Mann, first approached me about writing a blog in 2008, which he named the Digger Blog, I would never have imagined just where this journey was going to take me, or even how long it would last. It’s been an amazing experience and one that I treasure every day. It has given me the opportunity to meet some fantastic people, who have supported me all the way, (you know who you are) and to do things with machines that I would never have dreamt of doing, as I went about my business as a humble machine operator on the sites in Southern England. Now at the natural and spiritual home for my blog with Earthmovers Magazine, we move on to even more exciting times in the future. It’s getting tougher these days, with every man and his dog, posting photos and videos on the the ever expanding Facebook plant pages, where they are sharing each other’s material, and often other people’s photos without permission! But I intend to stick to my guns and try hard to bring new and original material to the most important people out there, that’s you, the readers and my many friends that have stuck with me, many from day one back in 2008. It’s with your help that the blog has become well known not only nationally but globally as well. I salute you all and thank you for your continued support! Please enjoy a piece of virtual birthday cake with me!
