HD Construction Equipment and Manitou sign compact equipment partnership

HD Construction Equipment has signed an agreement with Manitou Group covering the mutual supply and sale of compact construction equipment.

The agreement was signed at Manitou Group’s headquarters in Ancenis, France, by Moon Jae-young, President and CEO of HD Construction Equipment, and Sylvain Blaise, President and CEO of Manitou Group. Under the partnership, HD Construction Equipment will source compact equipment from Manitou Group and sell the machines through its global network. In return, Manitou will add compact equipment from HD Construction Equipment to its own product range for sale under the Manitou and Gehl brands.

Manitou Group manufactures construction, agricultural and industrial equipment, including telehandlers, forklifts, compact loaders and aerial work platforms. Its products are sold in around 140 countries under the Manitou and Gehl brands.

HD Construction Equipment says the agreement will allow it to broaden its compact equipment offering while increasing production capacity and improving product quality and cost competitiveness. The company is targeting segment sales of €825m (KRW 1.3tr) by 2030, with compact equipment identified as a key area of growth.
