Hidromek forestry machine tackles the timber in Spain

This video features a high specification HMK220LC hydraulic excavator, that has been specially produced for the rigorous forestry sector, seen here at work in Galicia in Spain. Special adaptations include protective side panels, strengthening bars around the top of the superstructure, cab guard, heavy duty undercarriage and dozer blade. The machine is also equipped with a winch for pulling the timber around on the ground once felled. At the business end, the machine is equipped with a Finnish Lako harvesting head, which is possibly an 83HD model.
Hidromek are no strangers to special adaptations of its machinery products, including high reach demolition excavators, material handlers and as regular readers of my blog may recall, I reported on a special tunnelling excavator model, which was once again based on the popular HMK220LC model. Look out for more reports from me on Hidromek machines, as I will be heading back to Turkey in November for some test drive opportunities.
