“Honest Ollie” is Back with Another Review

Japanese manufacturer Kubota has a loyal and dedicated customer base here in the UK and as one of the first to introduce the mini excavator concept back in 1979, its not hard to see why.

Kubota’s KX057-4 was first launched in 2010, and tips the scales around the 5.5 tonne mark. It features a maximum dig-depth of 3,890mm and an impressive bucket digging force of 4,315kgf.

On a recent project Ollie needed a bigger machine to cope with some landscaping work he had lined up, this saw him hire in a 2014 model KX57-4 from national plant hire firm GAP.

Now, a lot of people are very complimentary about this model, and the Kubota range in general, and although this machine has since been superseded by the new KX060-5, Ollie was keen to see what all the fuss was about on this machine.

In his own indomitable style, Ollie talks us through his likes and dislikes as he produces another honest review of this used machine.
