Houlihan invest in Hitachi Construction Machinery for the first time

Sunbury on Thames-based Groundworks and Civil Engineering company Houlihan's has purchased a range of Hitachi tracked excavators, including one ZX210LC-7 and four ZX130LCN-7's, with the added benefit of Leica GPS machine control, factory fit by HCMUK's dedicated in-house Hitachi Connected Technology team.

After years of purchasing an alternative brand of excavator, Houlihan’s have decided to invest in Hitachi construction machinery based on the reputation and quality of the equipment.

Founded in 1972, Houlihan’s has grown into a £100m construction business with over 600 employees. It delivers groundworks, civil engineering, infrastructure and concrete frame services across London and the South East of England. Houlihan’s works with most leading housebuilding companies and the new Hitachi excavators will be used for roads, drainage and multiple foundation design solutions on their new build developments across the region.

Houlihan’s Managing Director, Richard Knight said, “We chose to invest in Hitachi, based on Hitachi’s excellent reputation, quality and performance of their machinery, giving confidence to the operators, resulting in high production outputs and reliability”.
