Hyundai Showcase the HX480AL at Hillhead
The latest upgrade to the manufacturers 48 – 50-tonne class machine will be being put through its paces on the Hyundai demonstration plot at Hillhead. Powered by a fuel-efficient Stage 5 Cummins engine, the new machine boasts the highest engine power and hydraulic flow on the market. Its increased pump size enables the machine to work at lower rpm for greater fuel efficiency and there is no EGR valve requirement.
4-way proportional piping is available with hydraulic pressure and flow customisable on the cluster while the HX480AL’s stacked cooling system delivers improved cooling capacity. A reversable fan for automatic cleaning is a further boost in the demanding quarrying environment.
The Digger Man Blog will be spending some significant time on the Hyundai stand on the opening day of the show and in conjunction with our friends over at Demolition News and Diggers and Dozers we will be holding a “get together” meet up, but more on that as the event gets closer.
There is always an impressive array of machines on static display on the Hyundai stand, and I expect that to be the case this year too, with a wide range of heavy-duty machines available for browsing including wheeled loaders, tracked and wheeled excavators from the latest A-Series range.
