Interest Levels High for New Takeuchi ‘Duck’
It was a big surprise to encounter the Takeuchi TB370W in Paris, although there had been rumours about this model for quite some time. It was certainly a crowd pleaser at the event with many visitors pawing their way around the machine.
The machine will compete in the competitive 5-7-tonne mini wheeled excavator market, and will be up against machines from the likes of Bobcat, Volvo, Yanmar, Hyundai and Mecalac to name a few. Fans of the red & grey are sure to be delighted with this latest 3-Series offering which is largely based on the popular TB370 tracked variant.

We look forward to getting “hands on” with this machine in due course, but at the moment, it appears that well-known French journalist Louis Roizard has got the scoop on the new “wheelie”. Louis is a regular at all the major machine launch press events, representing the TPA magazine, and is nearly always one of the first to get in the seat of a new model.
Louis has produced a video on the new machine, unfortunately for us, its all in French, but you’ll get the idea, check it out below.
