It’s MAXPO Time!

Hyvinkää Airfield is ideally suited to this kind of show with the long runway providing visitors with a superb walking area with the exhibitors displaying the latest products on either side, where there is plenty of space for the machines, attachments and associated kit.

Maxpo is a fantastic and super friendly show, and I’m delighted to report that I am making a welcome return this year, with my friends over at Konepörssi magazine, (Stand A37) who once again are the official media partners for the exhibition.

My plan (internet signal permitting) is to do a series of live reports from various stands as I tour the show over the 3-day period, and you will find these videos either on our Facebook group or on the Digger Man Blog Instagram account.

So, what can we expect to see at this Finnish machinery fest, well I have picked out a few of my personal highlights, featuring kit I will be hoping to see.

Naturally all the Finnish big guns will be there starting with ALLU the specialist crushing, screening and mixing attachment manufacturer. Recycling is big business these days as we know and typical applications for ALLU products include the recycling of soil and waste material, the treatment of contaminated soil and the recycling of waste into usable material.

Our friends over at compact loader and tool carrier manufacturer AVANT are promising a new product reveal at the show, which at the moment is a closely guarded secret, and one I am looking forward to seeing. In addition, they will be displaying a new 180 mini excavator attachment which visitors will be able to try out on the demo plot.

Lannen Tractors will display a wide range of their multi-functional backhoe loader machines, which really are a Swiss Army knife piece of kit, or in this instance a Finnish Army knife, I will be looking forward to catching up with the team on stand.

Finnish Doosan dealership RealMachinery are expected to have a wide range of products from its portfolio on display, and of particular interest to me will be my first chance to see the new 10-tonne class DX100W-7 wheeled excavator in the iron. It’s a machine which is generating a lot of interest in the UK market, so it will be a good one to check out. Other Doosan models expected to be on show include the DX140LCRD-7, DX235LCRD-7 and DX300LC-7 excavators and the DA45-7 articulated hauler.

Finnish CASE Construction Equipment dealer RENTTI is expected to display and example of the latest E-Series hydraulic excavators, possibly a CX210E, but a little rumour I heard was that the demonstrator CX250E we tried out recently on the blog would be making its way to the show too, after its demo period in the UK, all will be revealed, I’m sure.

Movax another famous Finnish brand and specialists in sheet piling attachments will also be exhibiting and I hope to catch up with Jack Brogan a guy from the UK who has now been living and working in Finland with Movax for some years now, and enjoying the Finnish way of life, and who can blame him, its just a great place to be!

There will be lots more to see for sure, but in the meantime checkout this video from the last event in 2019 from my good friend and industry colleague Olli Paivio.
