Jarvie Plant bags Scotland’s first Kubota KX085-5

Plant hire company Jarvie Plant has added a brand new Kubota KX085-5 8.5-tonne mini-excavator to its fleet, bought from Scottish dealer HRN. Headquartered in Grangemouth, Scotland, Jarvie Plant has eight depots including an operation based in Manchester, supplying a variety of construction and plant and mobile welfare equipment, as well as vehicle hire.

Jarvie Plant has heavily invested in Kubota and has now bought 100 machines from leading Scottish dealer HRN over the last three years, increasing its total Kubota fleet to over 200 machines. The new machine is the first KX085-5 to be delivered in Scotland, after the product’s launch earlier in the year. This machine is also the 100th piece of equipment purchased by Jarvie from HRN, which the companies celebrated at the recent Jarvie Plant open day at its Nairn depot on August 1st. To mark the occasion, the new excavator was on display at the event, attended by representatives from Kubota and HRN, as well as the managing director of Jarvie Plant, David Jarvie.

David Jarvie said, “This investment is a great step forward for Jarvie Plant. The new equipment helps us to continue offering our client machines that meet their needs and offers them time and labour savings. We have a long history with HRN and Kubota that we are proud to say continues past this 100th milestone. We’re thrilled to have taken delivery of the first KX085-5 in Scotland. It’s a seriously impressive machine and one we know our customers will appreciate.”

Andy Wilson, Construction Account Manager at HRN said, “It’s great to see Jarvie Plant opening another new depot to support their customers in the North of Scotland. Not only was it great to have a depot launch, it was also great to showcase their brand new Kubota KX085-5, this was the first one to be displayed in Scotland, and this certainly did make the day a little more special. Myself and Martin Norry from Kubota UK were happy to attend and support our loyal customer on the day.”
