JCB involved in rhino relocation

A JCB 535-95 telehandler recently undertook an unusual job at a zoo in Oxfordshire. The fork-equipped loadall helped with the relocation of a rhino, which was moving from Cotswold Wildlife Park in Burford to the South Coast.

Photographs posted on Twitter by JCB dealer, Holt JCB Ltd show the telehandler lifting the rhino out of its enclosure in a box. Witney-based Millfield Groundworks was contracted to carry out the delicate operation using its Stage 5 emissions-compliant machine, which was perfectly suited to the job thanks to its 3.5-tonne maximum lift capacity and 9.5m maximum lift height.
