Kok Lexmond expands fleet with delivery of first Develon DX360LC-9 Smart Crawler Excavator
The first of the newly launched Develon DX360LC-9 smart crawler excavators has been successfully delivered to Dutch civil engineering and recycling specialist, Kok Lexmond. The delivery marks the first step in a broader agreement that includes two additional DX360LC-9 machines scheduled for delivery in the coming months.
With more than 45 years of experience and four locations across the Netherlands, Kok Lexmond is a leading family-owned company, specializing in civil engineering, road and water construction, and recycling services. Operating a diverse fleet of approximately 150–200 machines, the company is recognized for its expertise in on-site recycling and its ability to support customers from project planning through to completion.
The 37 tonne DX360LC-9 smart crawler excavator is part of the new Series 9 range from Develon. The Series 9 range adds a new unique and innovative excavator platform built on full electronic hydraulic (FEH) technology and integrated artificial intelligence.
Powered by the Develon DX08V engine providing an output of 227 kW (304 HP) @ 1800 rpm (SAE J1995) and a maximum torque of 1230 kgf/m @ 1300 rpm, the DX360LC-9 has a maximum digging depth (std front) of 7512 mm and a maximum digging reach (std front) of 11,113 mm.
The decision to invest in the new DX360LC-9 machines was driven by performance and efficiency requirements. According to Kok Lexmond, the DX360LC-9 offers the best balance in its class, particularly when operating with crusher attachments, making it an ideal solution for the company’s demanding recycling activities. Kok Lexmond currently operates 17 Develon/Doosan machines, including a total of 13 supplied through Develon, with three DX360LC-9 excavators now forming part of the fleet.
A key factor in the purchase decision was the support provided by ELM Bouwmachines, Develon’s new Authorised Dealer for South West Netherlands. ELM Bouwmachines played an important role in explaining and demonstrating the advancements of the new Series 9 range to the customer. The recognized aftermarket capabilities, technical expertise, customer-focused approach and accessibility of ELM Bouwmachines, combined with the 5-year/7500-hour factory warranty, were instrumental in securing the order.
“We are delighted to see the first DX360LC-9 delivered to Kok Lexmond and proud that the customer has already committed to two additional DX360LC-9 machines,” said a spokesperson for Develon. “This investment reflects the confidence that customers place in the performance of the new Develon Series 9 range and in the support delivered by ELM Bouwmachines.”
Every day, Kok Lexmond operates 10 mobile crusher sets, processing an average of 2000 tonne of material per set. By recycling mixed aggregate into certified reusable construction material, the company continues to contribute to a more sustainable construction industry across the Netherlands and Belgium.
Looking ahead, Kok Lexmond remains focused on maintaining its high standards of service while continuously improving operational efficiency and increasing the volume of materials recycled and processed for its customers.
