Kubota at bauma 2022

Kubota will unveil two new electric articulated wheel loaders at next week's bauma exhibition (October 24th to 30th). Showcased to the public for the first time, the new RT210-2e and RT220-2e are Kubota's first electric articulated wheel loaders, and are said to be ideal for construction sites that require low noise levels and no CO2 emissions.

The launch of the two new Kubota machines follows the recent introduction of an LPG-powered mini-excavator and a fully electric track dumper, giving users more options than ever before to drive down emissions.

The RT210-2e boasts a long loader arm as standard for maximum reach (a lifting height of 2.82m) and a lifting capacity of 1,450kg. In addition, the RT220-2e has a shorter arm (a lifting height of 2.45m) with a lifting capacity of 2,054kg suited to heavy-duty loading applications. With an overall width of only 1.08m and a machine height of 2.30m, Kubota says the new wheel loaders are ideal for use on narrow and compact construction sites.

There are three lithium-ion battery options: 260Ah, 390Ah, 520Ah with a built-in charger of 40A or 60A. There are also two stand-alone 415V 3-phase supercharger options of 150A or 300A. The super chargers will charge a battery within 1 to 4 hours, whereas the onboard chargers will charge a battery within 4 to 12 hours depending on battery size. The batteries supply power to two electric motors, one 6.5kW for the drive motor and 12kW for the hydraulic motor.

Additional features on the new all-wheel drive machines include a differential lock in the front and rear axles for limited slip, as well as three driving speed levels (0-5km/h; 0-12 km/h; 0-18 km/h). Kubota will be showcasing its new electric wheel loaders and its extensive construction machinery range the bauma’s open-air site north FN1019/1.
