LANDCROS partner with digital engineering consultants Akkodis

Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME), which is transitioning to the LANDCROS brand, has partnered with Akkodis to expand the engineering capabilities of its European Customisation Centre (ECC) in Amsterdam.

The partnership will support the development and integration of smart attachments, ICT and other technology for customers across Europe, with the aim of shortening the time required to deliver customised machine solutions.

The ECC is HCME’s dedicated facility for developing customer-specific machine configurations. The addition of Akkodis will expand its engineering capability beyond mechanical systems to include software, electrical and systems engineering.

“This initiative is a key enabler, and a clear example of the Open Source Solutions approach we're adopting across LANDCROS,” said Francesco Quaranta, HCME President & CEO. “Akkodis's unique skills give us the engineering capability to meet that strategic purpose, and to accelerate it.”

HCME has been developing its European customisation operation over the past two years as demand for more specialised machine configurations has increased. The ECC combines engineering, application knowledge and technology integration to develop solutions for specific customer requirements.

LANDCROS already works with technology partners including Rototilt, Engcon, Leica Geosystems and Trimble, with the ECC responsible for integrating these and other technologies into its machines.

“Akkodis is a genuine growth partner for us, not a name behind the scenes,” Quaranta added. “The European Customisation Centre's mission is to upgrade our reliable machines into advanced tools, ready to work.”

Robert van der Eijk, CEO, Akkodis Benelux, said: “This partnership shows how we adapt as HCME’s engineering needs evolve. As the team grows, so does the scope of our support. We are moving from an on-site team to a dedicated engineering center and expanding beyond mechanical engineering to also cover software, systems and electrical engineering. This allows us to support LANDCROS in a more integrated way.”

The partnership is intended to give LANDCROS dealers and customers faster access to machines configured for specific applications, with the additional engineering capacity provided by Akkodis.
