Leica 3D Machine Control on Hyundai Dozers
The Leica MC1 3D machine guidance system is now available as an aftermarket option for Hyundai's HD130A series dozers, with support for all 2D and 3D machine control configurations.
Odense, Denmark, 7 July 2026 – Hyundai Construction Equipment and Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, have announced the availability of the Leica MC1 3D machine control system as an aftermarket solution for Hyundai's HD130A dozers. The system is designed to help contractors improve grading accuracy, reduce rework and minimise material waste, while integrating machine control technology into existing site operations.
The latest development builds on the long-standing partnership between the two companies, with the retrofit kit supporting on-cab systems, dual laser, total positioning stations (TPS) and dual GNSS on-blade configurations. This allows operators to select the machine control solution best suited to their applications.
"By extending the Leica MC1 3D machine control system to our HD130A series dozers, we are giving our customers even more flexibility on site and a clear path to adopt advanced machine control across their Hyundai fleet,” said Peter Sebold, Product Manager at Hyundai Construction Equipment.
The Leica MC1 3D system provides operators with real-time cut-and-fill guidance based on digital design models, helping achieve finished grade in fewer passes while improving productivity and consistency. The aftermarket package is available as a plug-and-play retrofit through Hyundai's dealer and service network, enabling straightforward installation with minimal downtime.
"By extending Leica MC1 3D support to Hyundai's HD130A dozers, the partnership further expands the availability of advanced machine control technology, enabling contractors to standardise digital workflows across their fleets and benefit from Leica Geosystems' ecosystem of solutions, including Leica ConX cloud-based collaboration and easy-to-use stakeout solutions for foremen,” said Martin Verdurmen, President of the Machine Control Division at Leica Geosystems.
