Maxpo Moments (Part One)

This year’s event attracted some 14,500 visitors, with many of them heading straight for the Real Machinery OY stand. RM are the Finnish dealers for Develon, Mecalac, ALLU and McCloskey amongst others, and they always have a big stand presence at the show, this time around they had a decent sized hospitality tent as well, where you could grab a coffee and a hot dog virtually any time across the whole three days of the event.

Taking pride of place at the front of the stand was the new Develon DX260LC-9 which I had the privilege of test driving a few days before the show, something that you will be able to read about in the next edition of Earthmovers Magazine.

On the demo plot one of Mecalac’s demonstration operators was over from France putting some of there machines through their paces including the AS850 four-wheel steer compact loader and the 6MCR excavator/tool carrier.

Largest machine on the stand was the DX530LC-7 which was from the in-house hire fleet W Rent.

The 8.5 – 9-tonne class midi excavator is very popular in the UK market, so I was delighted to checkout this Develon DX85R c/w Engcon tiltrotator and an auto-lube system.

Best livery/artwork award must go to the Develon DX235LCR-7 compact radius hydraulic excavator which was heading out to JHM-Service OY after the show, absolutely loved the counterweight design on this one!

ALLU screening buckets were also present on the stand, showcasing various models from their range and one was working on the demo plot attached to a Develon DX85R, that you can see in our short video below.

Lookout for more Maxpo Moments over the coming days and weeks.
