McHale Plant Sales welcomes new skid steer and tracked loaders to Irish market

Komatsu’s latest compact loaders offerings, their new 4-tonne SK40-8EO skid steer loader and new CK50-8EO 5-tonne tracked loader – recently ‘prototyped’ at bauma 2025  – are now available in the Irish market.

Described by distributor, McHale Plant Sales as the ‘biggest compact skid steer and tracked loaders Komatsu has ever offered’, both units are powered by EU Stage V compliant 53.7kW low emissions, low maintenance engines with smart features both delivering what Komatsu notes is ‘one of the highest operating capacities in their category, merged with superior lifting, breakout, and traction force’

Other key points, according to the distributor, are their ‘outstanding stability, manoeuvrability, driver comfort and weight distribution in all conditions’.

Engineered for applications in which skid-steer units are a preferred choice, their numerous other ‘plus-points’ include  a new cab layout with pull-up sliding door for comfort and non-stop working in all conditions.

New operator comfort functions include an air-suspended seat, pressurised cab, and easiness of operation, helped by a slow speed system, cruise control, adaptive steering, return to dig, and other drive modes.

Completing what McHale Plant Sales looks-upon as ‘two worthy additions to the Komatsu portfolio’ are their redesigned hydraulics, reduced maintenance cost, rear-view camera with ‘human’ detection system, radio, LED lights and an optional front hydraulic quick coupler.
