Mecalac 3.5MDX cabbed dumper for Double M Plant Hire

Staffordshire-based plant hire firm Double M has taken delivery of the very first Mecalac 3.5MDX site dumper sold by SM Plant Ltd. The state-of-the-art cabbed unit arrived in May and is already being used by customers across the region for a wide range of building, highway repair, landscaping and general contracting applications.

Mick Silvester, owner of Double M Plant Hire, commented, “We purchased a Mecalac 6DMX in 2021 and were hugely impressed with the unit’s features, performance and capability. It was a real hit with contractors. Following such positive feedback, and with dumper cabs expected to become mandatory over the coming years, we made the decision to invest in a 3.5 tonne model. 

“With the model operational on projects across the region, it’s proving hugely popular with both new and returning customers," Mick continued. "It’s a really desirable size and the performance figures are hugely impressive for such a compact model."
