Mecalac Revolution at the Executive Hire Show (EHS Show Highlights)
A warm welcome is always assured on the Mecalac stand and its always a delight to catch up with Alison Sedgwick, Adam Phillips and the rest of the Mecalac UK team, who this year will be set up at the Executive Hire Show on stand J32 in the main hall.
Mecalac will present a number of machines from the range, but for me, the star attraction will be the award winning Revotruck.
The revolutionary Revotruck was first shown as a prototype during Bauma 2022 in Munich, and also made an appearance at the Plantworx show last year, where it attracted a lot of interest from visitors. Fabrice Dussolliet and the French design team have done a fantastic job with this machine in conjunction with the UK factory.
The machine takes cabbed site dumpers to the next level, with its rotating cab design at can revolve through 225o, offering the operator unrivalled visibility and safety throughout the entire working day.
The centrally oscillating chassis ensures the best stability and traction on all site ground conditions. The Revotruck is available in two weight classes 6 and 9-tonne versions.
The 6-tonne (13,228 lbs) and 9-tonne (19,842) payload models are powered by Stage V emissions compliant Perkins diesel engines with a power output rating of 55kW (74hp) and feature hydrostatic transmissions.
I’ve not seen one of these working on sites yet, nor have we had the opportunity to try one out, but we hope to address that soon.
