Metronix get “Hand’s on” with JCB’s Big Boy!
The pair are massive fans of the JCB product range and have recently taken delivery of the very first DualDrive backhoe loader in Romania. As we have reported previously, they run the great Metronix JCB You Tube channel documenting their day-to-day work and are also present on most of the other popular social media platforms, as such they often invited to JCB to try out the new machines, unfortunately for me, whenever they are there, I’m always busy doing something else, but I do hope to meet them both one of these days!
This time around Julian took the opportunity for some “stick-time” in JCB’s current largest hydraulic excavator the 38-tonne 370XLC, which as we know is gaining a lot of friends with some very high-profile major contractors.
Julian doesn’t get to drive large excavators on his jobs, so he was obviously going to enjoy the experience on the new machine. From my own personal experience running this machine on the same heap in JCB’s test quarry, I can echo his sentiments about the 370XLC, in the fact that it offers powerful performance, speed, smooth hydraulics and superb operator comfort.
