M&J Evans Construction buys 75 Kubotas
One of the UK’s leading construction firms is supporting its continued growth by investing in a range of Kubota machines, purchased from BTE Plant Sales. The purchase of an additional 75 3-, 5- and 8-tonne machines means that 85% of the M&J Evans Construction’s current 143-strong mini- and midi-excavator fleet now comprises Kubota machines.
The large-scale investment in machinery follows a period of significant expansion for the business, which saw the acquisition of Flynn Construction in August 2021, expanding the firm’s presence in the Southwest, alongside the opening of a new offices in Warrington and Yorkshire.
With significant residential contracts with Barratt Homes and Taylor Wimpey, M&J Evans Construction will put its new Kubotas to use in a range of major developments nationwide. Philip McEvilly, Plant & Transport Manager at M&J Evans Construction, explained, “With a rapidly growing business and work with some of the country’s leading housebuilders, we need our machinery to be efficient and reliable.
“With Kubota, that reliability is guaranteed – we know the machines are up to whatever work they are put to. By maintaining a modern machinery fleet, we are able to offer customers the very latest technology to shore-up efficiency and minimise unexpected downtime. The machines were supplied to us by the expert team at BTE Plant Sales, who afforded us with all the know-how and insights we needed to make the correct investment for our fleet.”
