Auctioneer Ritchie Bros has announced its upcoming industry event, the ‘Moerdijk Live Xperience’, slated to take place in Moerdijk, The Netherlands, from October 10th to 12th 2023. The centerpiece of the three-day event is a massive equipment auction featuring thousands of items for sale, including excavators, wheel loaders, dump trucks, compactors, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and many other types.
With hundreds of items already added to the inventory, the auction offers an opportunity for businesses to offload surplus machinery and trucks to an international market of eager buyers after the summer. What makes the event unique, reckons Ritchie Bros, is that a large selection of lots will be sold with live auctioneers and ‘bid catchers’ – an auction format Ritchie Bros utilised in Moerdijk prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Moerdijk Live Xperience will be a truly immersive and international event that reflects our brand's commitment to bringing people together and delivering innovative solutions,” said Sam Wyant, President of International Sales at Ritchie Bros. “This event will showcase our live auction format along with our Timed Auction format, however, the real key to our success has always been the way Ritchie Bros connects our global buyers and sellers. The event also hosts a mini tradeshow, showcasing a range of industry solutions and services available under the Ritchie Bros umbrella – including Rouse Services, SmartEquip, Mascus, and more. The ‘Insights’ session, a key highlight of the event, will feature industry expert speakers providing insights into navigating the ups and downs in the equipment market. Further complementing these events are ample networking opportunities.
