New Thwaites cabbed dumpers for WHC Hire

WHC Hire has purchased new 6-tonne and 9-tonne cabbed dumpers from Thwaites as part of an ongoing reinvestment in the safety and quality of its fleet. New legislation coming into effect in 2025 states that all site dumpers with an unladen weight over 4.5 tonnes must be fitted with a production-fitted cab. These cabs must be in line with ROPS and FOPS ISO 3471 and 3449.

This introduction to WHC Hire’s fleet includes three 6-tonne Swivel Tip models and one 9-tonne Forward Tip model. These will be replacing older machinery which is renewed every four years as part of the commitment to supply the finest machinery on the market.

MD James Clutterbuck said, “It was only a matter of time before cabs became more than just a comfort feature on articulated dumpers. As soon as we heard of the legislation change coming in for 2025, I had no hesitation in arranging the delivery of these new machines.

“We have been using Thwaites dumpers for some years now and have been extremely impressed with the performance and safety features that come as standard,” James continued. “Therefore, when it came to choosing a new cabbed dumper supplier, it was an easy choice. I am looking forward to seeing the impact these machines have on our contract clients.
