Ollie and Eddie’s Swedish Roadtrip (Part Three)

It seemed that a lot of the small machines this time had these little tilting hitches on, they were either from Steelwrist or from attachment specialist RF-Systems, who’s UK distributor is Kinshofer UK. With a very low build height mixed together with the “S type” buckets, it really is a nice and simple plug and play set up. They had even put a bracket on the side of the boom for the Q/H bar. This set up caused a bit of head scratching on the JCB stand fitted to this 3CX Compact backhoe loader? This bit was inside the cab, but what did it do, further investigation was needed! But when you opened it up, it all became clear, the mirrors lined up so you were able to see the pick-up points for the front quick-hitch, simple but effective. The Steelwrist stand was quite a big one and they also had one of their sponsored skidoo riders in attendance. There wasn’t a working demonstration, however there was a bit of an operators challenge which was taking part over the 3 days. There was a lovely pair of Atlas ducks tucked away in a corner on one of the dealers stands, they also sold the Finnish built Avant loaders, which were on display at the front of their stand. This Italian built Eurocomach 4-tonne class zero tailswing mini excavator was on display, but we were unsure who with as it didn’t really seem to have a home. RF-systems where displaying the fantastic range of attachments which they are known for, also the very slim Nox was on display too. You knew where their stand was down to them having a Huddig on display. (As a side note, while we were walking into the show on the first day their demo driver came across to us and said hello, he’s someone we’ve met each year over last 8 years we’ve been going, so that was good to have a catch up). Rototilt had a very good stand, showing the full range of tiltrotator’s that they do, we spent the best part of an hour with the owner (I think his name was Andreas if I remember correctly) he was telling us all about the history of the company and the meaning of the logo, a very interesting man. I think they’ll be big things from them this year in the UK, especially with the team of lads they seem to be hand picking at the moment.
