Open Day for New Cat Compact Dealer

Despite the miserable weather, a very warm welcome was received on what was my first ever visit to Rundle & Co Ltd, and there were plenty of other visitors keen to take a look at examples of the new Caterpillar machinery on display in the yard, and to talk with the sales team about the machines.

The company who has a head office in Launceston, Cornwall, and an additional depot down in Cambourne are well placed to serve customers across Cornwall and Devon including major cities such as Truro, Plymouth, Torquay, Exeter and surrounding areas who are keen to invest in Cat Compact machines.

There was without a doubt a real buzz about the place during the event with everyone we spoke to looking forward to getting Cat Compact machines out in the region again. The company sells a diverse range of agricultural equipment across this rural area including machines from the likes of Massey Ferguson, Merlo and Redrock, and they feel that the Cat machines will complement the agricultural range very nicely.

Company spokesman Jai Prichard said, “Its exciting times for us, as we all know, Cat is an iconic heritage product and we think it will be the perfect fit for the business, a lot of work has been put in to get us there, we just want to get going now”.

Five examples were on display for visitors to take a good look at, the 444 backhoe loader, 301.6, 302.7, and 305 mini excavators and the extremely popular 8-tonne class 308 midi-excavator was gaining a lot of attention from the assembled crowds.

It was also great to finally meet up with Devon and Cornwall’s regional Sales Manager for Finning UK & Ireland Krista Barden, who has been doing a great job selling larger Caterpillar equipment in the area.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at Rundle & Co Ltd for the warm hospitality during the event, and I look forward to working with you and visiting your Cat customers in the future for Earthmovers Magazine.

Here is a look around the new Cat machines on display.
