Phoenix Hire brings festive joy to hospice children

Yanmar CE EMEA’s Welsh dealer Phoenix Hire and Sales is celebrating its 15th anniversary by donating proceeds from its custom-painted Yanmar compact excavator to support Noah’s Arc Children’s Hospice.

In total keeping with the generosity of the season, Phoenix Hire and Sales has unveiled a custom-painted Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA (Yanmar CE) excavator to mark its 15th anniversary. The initiative, in partnership with Noah’s Arc Children’s Hospice, sees a generous Christmas cake-sized portion of the excavator’s weekly hire proceeds donated to the wonderful Cardiff-based charity. These funds will help in providing loving care to children facing life-limiting conditions and supporting their families.

The SV60-6B conventional tail excavator departs from Yanmar CE’s classic (Santa) shade of red in favour of a glistening snow-white paint finish. It displays the Noah's Arc charity logo and the dealer's emblem, featuring a golden phoenix with wings enveloping the machine's cabin. Adding a touch of celebratory sparkle, the exclusive excavator also features a commemorative golden sticker, celebrating the company's 15 years of looking after customers.

“It’s been really nice to have it on site all stickered up,” said Stephen Parfitt, Project Manager for Case Morgan Developments, a regular hirer of the charity Yanmar excavator. “Noah’s Arc is an amazing charity and the lads have been very happy to have it on site. We all do our bit for charities and having it on site has prompted many positive comments from passers by. There are many people less fortunate than ourselves, especially here in South Wales, so it’s nice to be able to say we – with Pheonix’s help – are able to do something to help out.”

Spreading joy
Adding to the festive fun, Phoenix Hire and Sales is also hosting a Santa’s Grotto at IKEA, Central Cardiff. The Phoenix team will be donning Santa and elf costumes while gathering additional support for Noah’s Arc. Courtney Evans, Marketing Manager at Phoenix Hire and Sales, is enthusiastic in her support for this tradition as a means to spread holiday cheer and make a meaningful difference in the community. “It is an amazing experience to be a part of, having some festive fun, seeing their little faces light up, while also raising money to support a great charity which will make a difference in other children’s lives leaves a great feeling.”

Recently, the company also engaged the children at Noah’s Arc Hospice in a creative competition, inviting them to design their very own dream excavator. The winner, Lacey, was awarded a visit to Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo.
