Range-topping telehandler

One of Scotland's leading privately-owned construction businesses, CHAP Group, based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, has taken delivery of a new Bobcat T40.180SLP 18m telehandler. The new T40.180SLP telehandler was supplied by Balgownie Ltd, the local Authorised Bobcat Dealer. The new Bobcat telehandler will be based at CHAP’s Summerhill site in the city of Aberdeen. This high profile project on behalf of Aberdeen City Council will see CHAP Group construct 369 flats over a four-year period. According to CHAP, the new Bobcat 18m telehandler will prove invaluable on what is a large site and across a range of different applications.

Tom Burn, Plant & Transport Manager for CHAP Group said, “Following a test drive and demonstration period with the CHAP Plant & Transport team, the new Bobcat machine was agreed to provide great value for money. With thanks to Balgownie Ltd and also the livery team at Inspire Signs & Graphics, we are extremely pleased to have added the Bobcat T40.180SLP telehandler to the CHAP fleet.”

The T40.180SLP is the top-of-the-range model in the Bobcat range of 13 rigid frame telehandler models for construction/rental markets covering maximum lifting capacities of between 2.6 and 4.3 tonnes, with lifting heights from 6 to 18m. All Bobcat telehandlers are backed by a three-year/3,000-hour warranty as standard with the option of extending the warranty to five years/6,000 hours. Bobcat telehandlers incorporate several standard features such as an automatic parking brake with an intuitive operation similar to those used in the automotive industry, providing greater safety and control.
