Rotar RCC Concrete Cutter

Rotar RCC Concrete Cutter

The UK’s first Rotar RCC Concrete Cutter has been instrumental in tearing down the infamous ‘Berlin Wall’ in Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens, as part of a revitalisation project for the area. The huge concrete structure had stood for 18 years, but came down in a few days at the hands of AW Demolition (the first customer of the Rotar RCC30) and Hyde Demolition.

The RCC Concrete Cutter is built for heavy industrial demolition, particularly jobs involving thick concrete with reinforcements, says its maker. The RCC features ‘Ramplifier’ technology integrated within the cylinder rod, boosting cutting power from 350 to 700bar when required. Other tech highlights include replaceable teeth, longer and adjustable rebar cutter blades, a minimalistic design, and a substantial infrastructure of large-diameter hydraulic lines that reduce back pressure and enhance performance.
