Running for Movember
Tim Ballard, Business Transformation General Manager at Finning UK & Ireland (a Caterpillar equipment dealer), is ramping up his ‘Movember’ fundraising efforts with a trip across the Pond, to take part in this year’s gruelling New York City Marathon – his first ever race.
Tim is a Global Ambassador for Movember and a cancer survivor, spearheading the ‘Finntashtic’ team of employees from Finning, who’ve raised in excess of £65,000 over the course of three years. Movember is the leading global organisation committed to changing the face of men’s health, tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
In preparation for the New York City Marathon (held on Sunday November 3rd), Tim has put himself through a tough seven-month training schedule, in the process covering over 400 miles. Tim’s current sponsorship tally is more than £3,200, and the 2019 Movember NYC Marathon Team tally is at £110,000 – but they’re not done yet.
