Sany at Executive Hire Show

Sany UK & Ireland attended its first ever Executive Hire Show at the Coventry Building Society Arena on February 9th and 10th. This was the first official showing of two of Sany’s Stage 5 excavators which have been designed for the UK plant hire market.

The SY16 is a 1.6-tonne canopy excavator aimed at the utility and landscaping market. The larger 2.6T SY26 is a cabbed model proving popular with plant hirers and owner operators alike. Both machines come with Sany’s 5-year, 3,000-hour warranty and are highly specified.  The SY16 is equipped with an expanding undercarriage, two-speed tracking and two-way pipework. The SY26 comes with a digital monitor, rotate lines and proportional controls for selector grabs and other features such as all-metal panels and good service access.

Sany also showed its SY80, the 8.8-tonne excavator which was launched at RWM in 2021 and was the largest excavator exhibited at the event. Commenting on the EHS, Leigh Harris, Business Development Director for the UK & Ireland said, “We were really excited to be at Executive Hire Show for the first time and the customer response has just blown us away. The sheer number and quality of customers who came and talked to us was amazing and I think they were really impressed by both the quality of our products and our commercial offering.

“We have a huge number of leads which our dealers will follow up and I’m confident they will lead to new customers for the Sany business,” Leigh Harris confirmed.
