Snapshots from the CASE Roadshow

This was the final leg of the CASE European Roadshow, having previously taken place in Germany, Italy and France, and despite the gloriously unpredictable English weather, was very well attended.

There were a number of new machines on show including 2 x electric mini excavators, and a prototype electric compact wheeled loader, we won’t go into too much detail here as my Earthmovers colleague Dan Gilkes is writing up a full article on the event in the magazine for a future edition.

E-Series crawler excavators were well represented with examples of the 13-tonne class CX130E and the 21-tonne class CX210E on the demo plot for visitors to get hands on with.

It was also good to see and get “Hands On” with the new CX75E midi excavator which was fitted with the TAB boom, a fantastic combination, and a very fast and smooth machine to operate.

Two wheeled excavators were also available including the 14-tonne class WX140E which was fitted with an OliQuick tiltrotator, and a WX160E 16-tonne machine with a rotating selector grab, I will be writing up a test drive report on the 14-tonner for Earthmovers in due course.

It was also good to get a look at the 836C motor grader, a grader line with a long heritage stemming back to the O&K days, through to New Holland and now under the CASE banner, amazing machines in the right hands.

It was also great for me to spend time with my great friends from Finland Olli Päiviö of Konepörssi and Arto Turpeninen of Koneviesti, who had made the trip over with Finnish dealers Rentti and some of their customers.

Big thanks must go to Ivona Nicol, Brett Morris, Hayden Bale, and the rest of the CASE Construction Europe team for inviting us and putting on a great event with awesome hospitality.
