Successful outing for Sany at ScotPlant

Sany UK attended its first ever ScotPlant exhibition on April 22nd and 23rd, and the show proved a great success for the manufacturer as it continues its journey to become a leading brand of excavators in the UK and Ireland. Attended by more than 6,000 visitors and 200 exhibitors, footfall during the two-day event was excellent which resulted in a huge number of high-quality leads for Sany and a number of machines being sold during or directly after the event, most notably to three new customers who were purchasing a Sany for the first time.

Brian McGrane, Senior Sales Manager for Sany Scotland commented, “It has been fantastic to see a lot of people again after the restrictions of the pandemic. In this industry it’s important to meet people face-to-face and ScotPlant has given us the opportunity to meet a lot of potential new customers. Since re-launching into the UK market in 2020, customer feedback on the quality and productivity of our excavators has been excellent but a lot of people are still unfamiliar with the Sany brand and so events like this are vital as we continue to build on our reputation,” Brian continued. “We had a great stand at ScotPlant which allowed us to showcase our full range of machines.”

The new SY75C with Stage 5 Yanmar engine is one of the most impressive Sany compact excavators on offer. With its powerful high torque drive, the latest hydraulic technology and state of the art cab, the SY75C is a mighty compact powerhouse that offers a great price to performance ratio. The larger 40-tonne, SY390 machine is an excavator boasting impressive performance, efficiency, comfort and economy. With provem components such as a Cummins L9 Stage 5 engine and Kawasaki hydraulics, the SY390 doesn’t disappoint. Fuel economy is a major focus on all Sany excavators and the recent testing of the SY390 has shown fuel savings of up to a massive 42% over the outgoing SY365C (37t) model meaning significant savings as the construction market has to move to white diesel.

Commenting on the show, Leigh Harris, Business Development Director for the UK & Ireland said, “It was great to finally unveil two of our latest additions to the Sany product range, allowing our visitors to see these machines up close. We had a constant flow of visitors to the stand and great interest not only in our two new arrivals but the whole Sany range," Leigh continued. “A huge thank you to all of those who came to visit the Sany stand and for the team at ScotPlant for helping to make it the fantastic event that it was. We look forward to 2024!”
