Tegfan appointed Thwaites Distributor for Southwest & Mid Wales
Thwaites is pleased to announce the further expansion of its distributor network in Wales, with the appointment of Tegfan Plant & Machinery, the Carmarthenshire based new and used machinery provider. The Tegfan Thwaites Distributor territory will cover southwest Wales & mid-Wales.
Founded by now Managing Director John Dunn some 21 years ago, Tegfan is a regional distributorship powerhouse with established, successful, relationships with Kubota, Merlo, Auger Torque and Indespension.
John is now looking to rekindle his relationship with Thwaites as some 35 years ago, when aged just 15, he was an apprentice fitter with Parker Plant Hire learning his trade on Thwaites dumpers, a machine that all these years later he now welcomes into his business as a distributor.
Seven years a Kubota dealer and four years a Merlo distributor Tegfan is well placed and ready to add the Thwaites machine line up to its portfolio.
John Dunn said “The opportunity to become an approved distributor for Thwaites is something I have wanted for the business for some time. Kubota excavators and Thwaites dumpers offer us a natural, noncompeting product range. Two strong brands that will work well to add value for our customers and our business.”
Mr Dunn continued “Thwaites are renowned for manufacturing quality, robust and reliable machines, we have an immediate market for both the compact 1-tonne hi-tip & 3-tonne swivel machines through to the 6-tonne & 9-tonne cabbed dumpers”.
For those attending the Royal Welsh Show, (July 21-24) in Builth Wells, Powys, Tegfan are looking forward to welcoming visitors and debuting their Thwaites dumper line up.
