Tilting and Rotating with Takeuchi
Shaun has for some time now been of the opinion that the way forward with tiltrotators, will be for them to be sold through manufacturers/dealers, possibly with a factory fit becoming an industry standard over the next few years.
As uptake of the Scandinavian inspired units continues at pace in the UK, this would be a very logical approach.
It would appear that Takeuchi will be offering a dedicated tiltrotator option for its machines, at least in the US market where the video below was produced. They have partnered up with German manufacturer Kinshofer with their ramless NOX system as their preferred supplier.
In the video Takeuchi US’s Product Manager Lee Padgett talks us through the various options available. This is an interesting move because as I understand it, tiltrotator uptake in America is still pretty low, with the exception of a number of high-profile operators on social media who are doing a great job of promoting them in the region.
If the market there is anything like the UK, it will be a slow burner initially, but then will take off big time, as end users finally see the benefits that “tiltys” can offer long term.
