Tru7 Group marks 60 years with special JCB Anniversary machines

Family business Tru7 Group is celebrating its 60th birthday – with the purchase of two exclusive JCB machines produced to mark the digger maker’s 80th anniversary.

The Ipswich‑based construction group has taken delivery of a JCB 4CX Pro DualDrive backhoe loader and a 542‑70 AGRIPRO Loadall, two of just 80 limited‑edition machines built to celebrate eight decades of JCB engineering excellence.

Supplied by Watling JCB, the satin‑black machines feature chrome detailing, JCB yellow highlights and bespoke 80th‑anniversary touches, including embroidered seats, decals and commemorative plaques.

Jake Nicholls, CEO of Tru7 Group, said: “As JCB marks 80 years and we celebrate our own 60‑year milestone and these machines stand as a powerful symbol of that parallel progress. They represent far more than an investment. They reflect a long‑standing relationship between two family businesses built on shared values, innovation and pride in British construction.”

A Suffolk-based family-run business, Tru7 Group has a rich history spanning over 60 years. Under the leadership of Guy Nicholls and now his son, Jake Nicholls, the company has continued to expand its services and capabilities. The group now provides a diverse offering across their range of divisions, including nationwide plant and commercial vehicle hire/sales, demolition and earthworks contracting, as well as local ready-mix concrete and aggregate services.

Across this range of services, Tru7 Group has built a high-profile client list including: Suffolk Highways, HS2, Morgan Sindall, Balfour Beatty, RG Carter, Barnes Construction and Suffolk County Council.
