Unique Hunklinger Gains Interest
German manufacturer Hunklinger allortech GmbH are probably better known for their block paving equipment which includes paver laying clamps, grabs, hand screeding tools and general paving tools, however in 2023 they launched this dedicated and somewhat quirky mobile excavator.
The HW20 which I was delighted to be seen being demonstrated at Bauma, has been designed for contractors in the paving industry, to offer them even more versatility, as opposed to using a conventional paving machine.
In addition, the highly mobile HW20 which has a top road speed of 20km/h, can do so much more when fitted with a wide range of attachments. Just like any other mini excavator the machine features 360-degree slew and an off-set boom function.
In something of a strange twist, I was approached on the stand by a female member of staff who wanted to know why I was taking photos, I can only imagine she thought I was from a competitive manufacturer, after a quick explanation about what I do, everything was cool!
