Vincents breaks ground on new branch whilst celebrating 60 years
South West machinery dealer Vincents has broken ground on a new purpose-built branch in Cullompton, continuing expansion in their 60th anniversary year.
Due to open in spring 2027, the freehold site will become the company's new base for Devon and Somerset, bringing together its existing Smithaleigh and Wellington operations while continuing to work alongside its Fraddon and Holsworthy branches.
Located just off the M5, the new dealership will feature larger workshops, expanded customer facilities and a showroom displaying machinery from brands including Kubota, Merlo and Kverneland. The site has been designed to support future growth and improve access for customers across the region.
Third-generation managing directors Alec and Nick Vincent said: "This investment secures a permanent, long-term base for our Devon and Somerset operations. Owning the site gives us the capacity and stability to support customers and continue growing, while strengthening the relationships we've built across the region."
Although the business is relocating, Vincents says its service-led approach will remain unchanged, with most maintenance and support continuing to be carried out on customers' premises. The additional facilities at Cullompton will provide greater workshop capacity and improved infrastructure to support field operations.
The Smithaleigh and Wellington branches will remain fully operational during construction, with all staff transferring to the new site when it opens.
Founded in 1966, Vincents supplies and supports agricultural, construction and groundcare equipment across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. The dealer is the region's only full-line Kubota distributor and also represents brands including Merlo and Kverneland.
