Wacker Neuson’s clever EW100 wheeled excavator

Wacker Neuson's new EW100 wheeled excavator is said to be unique in its class and, according to its maker, sets new benchmarks. The construction site 4.0 was in focus while developing the latest machine, which boasts intelligent Attachment Management, a user-friendly Human-Machine-Interface, and the preparation for diverse assistance systems and interfaces, among other things.

When changing attachments, the machine assists the operator by adjusting the hydraulic oil flow to the preset tool according to the selection made on the 10-inch touchscreen display. Meanwhile, a flattened engine hood and rear-view camera boost visibilty and safety. In addition, the 10-tonne excavator is said to be extremely stable even when rotating 360 degrees with a lifted load.

Thanks to the powerful drive hydraulics and the high basic work performance, Wacker Neuson reckons the EW100 can be used to complete tasks which would otherwise require a 14-tonne excavator. The new EW100 wheeled excavator can be seen in action at the Wacker Neuson booth (FN.915) at bauma 2022 from Monday October 24th.
