Turkey’s General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works in its current form was established in 1954, but it can be traced back as far as 1914. The organization came to real fruition following the severe drought the country suffered in 1929. It was reorganized in 1939 as the Water Works General Directorate with a mandate to deal with the importance of all water related issues. Today the organization is responsible for the overall utilisation of the country’s water resources, providing irrigation for agricultural areas and water supplies for all major cities in what is a massive country. Liebherr PR754 The State Hydraulic Works (DSi) run a massive fleet of equipment and these Liebherr dozers joined 135 Turkish built 30 tonne class Hidromek HMK300LC hydraulic excavators, which were also supplied in the distinctive green livery and formed part of a major upgrade of equipment which were to be delivered towards the end of 2015. 111 Liebherr’s 40 tonne class PR 754 Litronic crawler tractor is powered by the D 946 LA6 250kw (340hp) six-cylinder diesel engine, developed and built by Liebherr and features the company’s  well proven variable hydrostatic travel drive. Some of the machines have recently been involved in some operator training which is documented in this video from Liebherr.
