Classic Cat Dozer Rides Again at FinnMETKO
It’s always a pleasure to catch up with this beautifully restored 1960 Caterpillar D6B crawler dozer during my industry tours in Finland.
The last time we caught up with Jussi Raunisto, who is the owner of this Caterpillar D6B, was at the Maxpo Show in Hyvinkää last year.
This classic tractor was originally owned by Jussi’s father and has been meticulously brought back to life to feature as a crowd pleaser on the stand of Jussi’s business BussiPro, a Lahti based company who sell spare parts, including fire suppression systems, largely for trucks and buses.

While the dozer has nothing to do with his spare parts business as such, Jussi takes it along for visitors to his stand to enjoy, and when they fire the old girl up, it draws in a massive crowd, especially those who have an interest in vintage machinery.

She does require a sniff or two of Easy Start to get going, but when the engine eventually wakes from its slumber, it sends a wave of nostalgia around the assembled crowd.
At this years FinnMETKO Show, I managed to capture the start up on camera for us all to enjoy!
