Attachment arsenal addition

Well known “rubber duck” owner/operator Ollie Kitchen has been in touch with us again and has sent in photos of his latest Swedish inspired attachment for his high spec Komatsu.

Over the years Ollie Kitchen has embraced the Swedish way of working with excavators and has developed on their way of thinking that the machine is not just an excavator, but more of a multi-tool carrier offering a wide variety of attachments that make the whole machine more versatile on site, offering the customer far more options than a standard equipped machine and making Ollie and his machine invaluable on site. We recently reported on Ollie’s new compactor wheel attachment, well now Ollie has had a special fork lift attachment made to fit on his dozer blade. The dozer mounted forks are another idea that Ollie became inspired about following another visit to Sweden, where he witnessed them being used and on his return he asked his friends at bucket & attachment specialists Anross Ltd to manufacture him a set to fit his all singing, all dancing, Komatsu PW160-8 wheeled excavator. This new set up enables Ollie to double his carrying capacity when moving pallets of kerbs around the job, by carrying one pallet on the dozer mounted forks and another pallet load on the fork attachment mounted below his Engcon EC219 tiltrotator. I understand that Ollie and an entourage of other well-known UK based tiltrotator adopters, will be making a trip to next month’s MaskinExpo show in Stockholm, as such I expect we will be seeing more new attachments from the guys in the future.
