Bellmans take first Volvo EW160E in Sweden

I came across a couple of photos of the first Volvo EW160E to be delivered to a company in Sweden and thought I would share them here on the Digger Man Blog.

Bellmans Akeri & Entreprenad AB, to give them their full title, have been in business since the early 1990’s. Employing around 21 people, the company is based in Saltsjo-boo, a town to the east of Stockholm. Bellmans cover a wide area and their very distinctive chequered flag livery which adorns the company’s plant and trucks can often be seen around Stockholm and the surrounding areas. Perhaps unsurprisingly the company’s fleet of excavators is largely dominated by Volvo machines, in what is the homeland of the famous products. The latest arrival to the fleet is the first Tier 4 final emissions compliant Volvo EW160E wheeled excavator to be sold in Sweden, which was supplied by Swedish Volvo dealer Swecon. As we have come to expect from our Swedish cousins, this machine is an all singing, all dancing affair by our standards, but is pretty much standard fare in Scandinavian countries. Powered by its four cylinder 112kw (152hp) Volvo engine and sitting on “Super Single” tyres the machine features, a two piece boom, Engcon EC219, Generation 2 tiltrotator C/W integral gripper, Novatron GPS guidance system and a heavy duty trailer hitch within the blade. I think you will agree it’s a stunning looking machine and Bellmans distinctive livery really makes it stand out from the crowd!
