Caterpillar have golf off to a tee

The latest instalment in the “Built For It” series of videos has been released and features an unlikely partnership of golf & heavy mining equipment.

If you are into golf and heavy machinery the sixth edition of Cat’s “Built For It” series “Driving Range” will be right up your fairway. The footage was filmed on location at Caterpillar’s Tinaja Hill Demonstration & Learning Centre near Tucson, Arizona and features twin sister Erimo and Marimo Ikeuchi who are both members of the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association as the both pit their wits to land golf balls on a unique course of moving Cat equipment, under the blistering Arizona summer sun! Cat kit seen in action consists of 5 machines including 772G, 775G and 783F Off-Highway trucks, 982M Wheeled Loader and a CT660 On-Highway Truck. These machines form the fairway, hazards and the green, all while moving around at pace and displaying their agility even under a full load. Archie Lyons, creative director at Caterpillar said,  “While the equipment you see in the video is from our large mining equipment line, it really shows and demonstrates that while the 793F can have a full capacity load of 250 tons, it can still manoeuvre safely and quickly around all the other pieces of equipment,” Check out the video here below.
