Cat’s largest ADT gets increased payload

Another big attraction out here in Malaga at the moment is the all new 45 tonne class Cat 745C articulated hauler.

The new 745C is like all Caterpillar articulated haulers built in the UK at the Caterpillar factory in Peterlee in the North East of England, it’s a site that is steeped in articulated hauler manufacturing history, which goes right back to that days of DJB. The new model in the line-up takes its power from a Tier 4 final, emissions compliant, Cat C18 ACERT engine, which offers a gross power rating of 511hp/381kw and can carry a heaped capacity load of 32.7 yd3. I will be learning more about this new machine over the coming days, but in the meantime why not check out this video from Caterpillar featuring the new model and other machines in the C series range.
