Cat’s new kitten is out of the bag

One of the highlights of the recent #CatProductLaunch in Malaga was the unveiling of the new 313F L GC hydraulic excavator, a new 14 tonne class excavator which has been designed and built specifically for the UK plant hire sector.

Caterpillar in conjunction with Finning UK, have listened to customer’s demands for a good all round excavator for the plant hire market, which does not require any diesel exhaust additive, thanks to its 70hp (52kw) Cat C3.4B engine which is Stage IIIB emissions compliant and which features a new simple hydraulic system which is reliable and powerful for a wide variety of tasks. This new Japanese built machine offers the same working envelope as the popular Cat 312E but features a lower back end offering the operator good all round visibility. Interest in this new model is already said to be high, with a number of advanced orders already being placed. Thanks to Finning UK, I can now exclusively reveal that at least one of these machines has already been working on field trials in the UK, like this model seen here being delivered to One Call Hire job where it has been well received. I was delighted to be given the opportunity so spend some time with the new model during my time in Malaga. I will be writing about the new machine in more detail in a future edition of Earthmovers Magazine but in the meantime, here is a brief introduction video of the machine which was made by the team behind Finning News.
