Digger back in Malaga

Today the Digger Man Blog returns to Caterpillar’s impressive Demonstration and Learning Centre in Malaga, Spain. In this blog I thought I would share a few more photos from previous visits which I know are popular with our readers.

Digger back in Malaga
It’s always a delight to visit this first class facility which is located on the Costa del Sol in Southern Spain, where you are virtually always guaranteed a sunny welcome both from the weather and the on-site team.  This year I believe we are here to see a variety of innovative products which Caterpillar will be officially launching at the upcoming Bauma Trade Fair in Munich in April. Last time we were here we saw a wide range of new machines including the 336F XE hydraulic excavator, which I was lucky enough to get hands on with for Earthmovers Magazine. Also unveiled was the latest articulated hauler from Cat the 45 tonne class 745C. This machine is powered by the Cat C18 engine which is 4.2% more powerful than the old C15 units which were fitted on the 740B models. The event in 2015 was also the launch pad for the new Cat 313F hydraulic excavator, a simple machine which was aimed at the UK hire sector and requires no AdBlue fuel treatment. The model has generally been well received by end users in the UK. Cat also launched its latest range of wheeled excavators including this M318F model that was displayed with two piece boom and a Rototilt tilt-rotator. Dozers were represented by the new Cat D6N LGP and the latest track type loader model, the 963K. Leicester’s finest backhoe loaders were represented by a couple of then new models built in the UK at Desford including the 427F2. If you are into your Caterpillar equipment this is one of the best places to visit, it’s an experience I can highly recommend!
