Diggers Royal Cornwall Show round up (Part Two)

Rounding up my look back at the plant and machinery on display on the trade stands at the recent Royal Cornwall Show in Wadebridge, Cornwall.

There were plenty of new machines to see on the Kellands Plant stand with the vast majority of them bearing the livery of their new owners. Representing the new line up of Bobcat mini excavators was the 1.5 tonne class E17 model which has been purchased by local contractor Rob Oliver. Two examples of the latest Dash 5 Doosan’s were present on the stand with this 14 tonne class DX140LC Series V model bearing the name of Courtney King who works on hire to big Liskeard groundworks outfit Champion. Talking of Champion’s there was also a 34 tonne class DX340LC Series V being displayed on the stand. Steve Hoskins Construction is always a regular on the M&M Plant Sales stand and this year was no different with a new Case CX210C hydraulic excavator being admired by the younger visitors to the show. On the Plant and Engineering Services stand there was another new machine for rapidly expanding local business Wagner Plant Hire. This new machine was being delivered to its first job straight from the show ground after the final day. And finally Graham Sandercock and his incredible Mecalac 6MCR (Machine Crawler Rapide) high speed excavator come skid steer, who we featured in the April issue of Earthmovers Magazine, was once again putting on a display of his unique machines timber handling capability to a very captive audience. Graham tells us of his plans to upgrade to a larger 8MCR in the future which I will be sure to visit once its arrived.
