Early bath for Kato excavator

A new excavator disaster video hit the myriad of plant and machinery pages that are now running on Facebook earlier this week. I posted it on our own Digger Man Blog Facebook page too, but feel the footage is so shocking in its stupidity that it is worthy of its own spot here on the blog.

The footage which was filmed in Bangladesh features an ageing Kato 12 tonne excavator which has made a spoil ramp out to a pontoon barge, which then attempts to climb on-board the vessel which is not really secured in anyway. In short it is simply a disaster waiting to happen and ends with the inevitable results! Fortunately nobody was injured in this accident,but the question has to be asked, who really thought this was ever going to be a good idea!
